Police dismantle New Armenia’s tents at Liberty Square

The situation heated up at Liberty Square a couple of minutes ago where the New Armenia Public Salvation Front is holding its next rally.

The ralliers were taken unawares when police officers intruded into the rally site and began dismantling the tents. This resulted in a scuffle between protesters and the police.

Armen Martirosyan from the Heritage Party called on ralliers to ‘let the police do their work.’

“Let them do what they want, let them take away the tents. Let us start our peaceful march,” he said.
